The board revised some of the angling rules for the 2018 season, so please read the attached revised rules carefully. The changes are highlighted in red but here are the cliff notes:

· Regular Tournament Registration fee increased to $250 per boat to offset trophy costs.
· Scales close at 9 pm on the last night of a regular tournament, although tag and release cards can still be emailed/mailed/texted within 7 days.
· Tagged Spearfish category added.
· The Yellowfin tuna category includes Big Eye Tuna.
· A photo is required for tagged and released billfish to determine species. If the species cannot be determined, white marlin points will be awarded.
· Associate members win in a tie for youth awards over non-member youth.
· Points are transferable from one member owned boat to another boat owned by that same member.
· Outboard Boat Award defined in the rules.

The board is pleased to introduce these new members in 2018, so please welcome them when you see them on the water or in the marina. We are glad to see the club continue to grow.

45th NOIBT Ad

The 2016 Ladies Tournament had 22 boats in the fleet after 4 had mechanical/conflict issues. Six anglers turned in billfish tags – three blue marlin, three white marlin.  Plenty of tuna was caught, but no wahoo and a few small dolphin.  Brian Authement reigned as our Grand Kahuna.
