Welcome To The New Orleans Big Game Fishing Club

The New Orleans Big Game Fishing Club is a private club whose members share a passion for fishing the waters in the northern Gulf of Mexico in search of many species of billfish, tuna, wahoo, and dolphin. The NOBGFC prides itself in one of the highest catch and release ratios of similar such clubs, and our efforts over many years have been widely recognized in conservation circles for the collection of very valuable scientific data on many of these highly migratory species, especially regarding blue and white marlin.

Our Club members have enjoyed a rich 40 year history of fishing, fun, and friendships and we look forward to many more years of fish tales and fun beyond the waters of South Pass.

Club Update:
The New Orleans Big Game Fishing Club is pleased to announce the 2012 tournament schedule below and especially our 40th Annual Invitational Billfish Tournament this year, so please save the dates. Every tournament has a Youth division with youth points accumulating all season toward an annual youth award. The contractor rebuilding Port Eads is working diligently to complete the project for its July 2012 deadline and we continue to work on our clubhouse options with the Plaquemines Parish leaders. We believe that a "Save South Pass" campaign is important because of South Pass' historical significance as well as its important access for sportsmen and energy interests. We are working on dates for our Spring Awards Banquet in late April or early May and will have a date and location very soon. We want to welcome our new members listed below and are always looking for sportsmen with a passion for big game fishing. We regularly receive calls from anglers interested in joining, so please look for the club application on the membership link above. We are excited about the season and hope to see you on the dock.
