Club Update:
After a season lost, the New Orleans Big Game Fishing Club is ready to fish again. The board is excited about the upcoming season and our tournament schedule. We had plenty of time to sharpen hooks and update boats and are eager to get back to the rip. With little pressure on fishing, we anticipate plenty of offshore action this season. The club will host more and larger tournaments this year. To encourage more family fishing, the board approved adding youth divisions to every tournament, instead of a single youth tournament, to attract the next generation of offshore fishermen and women. Youth points will count toward tournament and annual awards. We continue to work on our clubhouse options and are excited that the Plaquemines Parish leaders are moving forward with the Port Eads marina rebuilding. We receive calls everyday from anglers ready to return to the Gulf and hope that you will join us for this special offshore season.

The New Orleans Big Game Fishing Club is a private club whose members share a passion for fishing the waters in the northern Gulf of Mexico in search of many species of billfish, tuna, wahoo, and dolphin. The NOBGFC prides itself in one of the highest catch and release ratios of similar such clubs, and our efforts over many years have been widely recognized in conservation circles for the collection of very valuable scientific data on many of these highly migratory species, especially regarding blue and white marlin.

Our Club members have enjoyed a rich 40 year history of fishing, fun, and friendships and we look forward to many more years of fish tales and fun beyond the waters of South Pass.
